Batam city is the largest city in Riau Islands and is the most populous city in Sumatra after three Medan and Palembang.
Batam consists of three islands, namely Batam, Rempang and Galang Barelang connected by a bridge.
Batam is a city with a very strategic location. In addition to being on international shipping lanes, the city has a short distance away to Singapore and Malaysia.
